Today I told my ESL students we were going to take an exit ticket at the end of class. They asked me what it was, and I resorted to answering in Spanish, “I need this ticket from you to exit.”

I actually ended up saying, “I need this ticket from you to be [sexually] excited.” I first figured out my mistake after seeing the the horrified look on their faces, and confirmed it by some very educational gestures they made to help me understand what I had said, and finally with the help of a Spanish dictionary. Awesome.

I suck at blogging. So much has happened lately! So much drama at my school! I’ll try to update more later.
